Last week was Club Craze Week and Spirit Week. I was in charge of the event so it was a little bit stressful and very busy. The purpose of this week is to get the clubs on our campus involved by participating in a week long competition. The grand prize was $250 for the club to use as they wish. Second place got $150 and third place got $100. The first day the contestants played Kajabei Kan Kan and on Tuesday we had a water balloon toss. Wednesday we brought an inflatable where two people are attached to a bungee cord and try to run farther than the other to place their bean bag on the Velcro strap. Kind of hard to explain. Thursday we played a game called distraction where six contestants heard a clip of a song and had to identify the artist and the title. The interesting part was that instead of a buzzer, they had to crack either a raw or hard boiled egg on their head to try and answer first. It was quite a sight to see! On Friday we played musical chairs with a twist. When the music stopped, each contestant had to grab the desired object that I asked for. Some of the items that they had to find was: a floppy disk, sunglasses, a piece of trash (and throw it away), etc. People seemed to really love that event. By the end of the week the winners were: M.E.Ch.A. (3rd place) Senior Club (2nd place) and Speech and Debate (1st place). I think everyone had a great time!!
Also during this week we had our Spirit Week. The order was Pajama Day, Fashion Disaster Day, College Day, Fake an Injury Day, and Hush Day. What a busy week!
